Completed 1997, now destroyed.
Working in a studio at the Slade School I was inspired by the artist Roderick Tye to use his formulation of wax. It is worked like clay around an armature but it never dries. The model turns slowly as the sculpture is built using the armature as its skeleton with the rib cage and muscles added. |
