Astrology

Astrology is the study of the movements and relative positions of planetary bodies and their influence upon humans and nature. Mapping and interpreting the positional relationships of the planets in the sky at the exact time and place of birth enable a person's horoscope to be read. This map, called a natal chart, represents the positions of the planets upon the circular path that the sun appears to follow through the sky (otherwise known as the ecliptic). This circle of the ecliptic is divided into 12 zodiacal houses (listed below).

The methods employed for interpretation vary, and are very complex, so much so that it would take the whole of this web site to explain them, so I'm not going to! (Well not for a long while anyway) However, as a starting point I shall list the houses, their dates, and their associations. Suggested further reading is in the books section.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Fire sign.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Earth sign.

Cancer (June 22 - July 22)
