Start with the basic breathing exercise to relax yourself and to enter the meditative state. If you are able to open, your chakra centres then do so. The following should now be read aloud by a partner, or recording of the text played back. Pause between sentences for approx. 5-10 seconds, and speak in a calm flowing voice.
Focus your attention on your brow chakra. Now visualise yourself sitting under a large oak tree. Its branches are big and broad and reach up to the sky; it's a warm and sunny day and you are wearing light summer clothing and have bare feet.
You see a stream in front of you, get up and walk towards the stream. As you step into the water to paddle, you find that the water is warm and gently washes over your feet with the slight current. Now look upstream and you will see a beautiful waterfall, gently walk towards it.
Now you have reached the waterfall enter into the flowing water; you will be safe. As you enter, you suddenly feel lighter; the water has a purifying effect and it makes your skin tingle. You can see the sun's rays pouring through the water and all the colours of the rainbow pour over you, they glisten in the sunlight, you glow all over and feel alive, uplifted, renewed, and rejuvenated. The water feels warm with the sun's rays pouring on it and all your aches and pains vanish, all tensions and worries leave you. Stay for while and feel the invigorating water pour over you.
Now step out of the waterfall to the other side. As you step out, you realise that you are no longer wearing you light summer clothes, but have a robe of blue around you. Ahead in the distance, you see a large majestic mountain, you feel drawn to walk towards it. As you start towards the mountain, a being of great light approaches you. This being is your spiritual teacher, mentor and friend. Thank him or her for all the help you have received. You may ask your teacher questions about your life if you wish, listen to the answers and stay a while. Feel the love and energy of the Goddess and God pouring into you from this beautiful being. You are now ready to ascend the mountain. As you depart with your guide, you might be given a gift; this may be a candle, a sword, a book, or a few words of advice. Remember what you receive and what is said, for it is of importance to you.
As you begin you ascent the journey looks long and tiring, but you rapidly realize you have only to think yourself to the top of the mountain and you are there. Having magically reached the top, in front of you stands the most beautiful temple you have ever seen. It has an iridescent gold roof and the walls shimmer with all the colours of the rainbow. There is music coming from the temple and several steps lead up to an arched doorway where you can enter the building. As you enter the temple, the music is like food for your body and soul. In the centre of the temple is a bright golden light, walk towards it. As you bathe yourself in the light, you realize the purpose and meaning of your life, the lessons to be learned from it, and an understanding of life's events become clear to you. Relax, let the colours and music fill and embrace you; giving you as much energy as you can accept. Feel this love and energy pour into you and know that you are part of the Goddess and God, and that from now on all your needs are met. Share this abundance with those you meet for it is an eternal spring. Be aware of it and give thanks for that which you have received in the temple.
The time has come for you to leave the temple of light, but remember you can visit it again any time you wish. As you start to descend the mountain, you are again magically at the bottom. Take leave of your guide, and very slowly walk back towards the stream. As you near the stream, you see there are stepping stones you can use to cross over to the other side. Carefully cross the river. As you reach the other side, you notice that you are once again dressed your light summer clothing. Return to the oak tree and sit down beneath it. Look back at the river, waterfall, and beyond to the mountain. The mountain is now shrouded in mist, but you now know it is a place you can go at any time to visit your inner temple, where you are at one with the Goddess and God.
Now visualise a shroud of white light covering your body, close your chakra centres, take some deep breaths, and open your eyes.
